A clip from The New York Times reads: "But only the entities that officially paid the tariffs are eligible to recover that money. That means that the fuller universe of people affected by Mr. Trump’s policies — including millions of Americans who paid higher prices for the products they bought — are not able to apply for direct relief.

The extent to which consumers realize any gain hinges on whether businesses share the proceeds, something that few have publicly committed to do. Some have started to band together in class-action lawsuits in the hopes of receiving a payout."

The average American family paid $1,700 in tariffs last year, according to the bipartisan Congressional Joint Economic Committee. Few will ever see any of that money back. The refunds will go to companies, if doled out at all. What a joke.

No on both counts, and it doesn't matter.

DEM MEMBERS OF CONGRESS: FILE ARTICLES OF IMPEACHMENT NOW.

Daily, if necessary. Over and over and over and over and over again. Shut down everything. Sand in every single gear. Grind everything to a halt.

Deeply relieved that the bombs will stop—for now.

But threatening the destruction of an entire civilization has repercussions.

Republicans must call Congress back NOW, pass a war powers resolution, & stop this unauthorized war.

And Trump must be removed from office immediately.

We're all gonna make Simpsons jokes, and we should, but also, let's never forget the power of government oversight & regulation b/c the EPA and Clean Water Act have worked miracles.

New Jersey Becomes the 10th State with a Law Barring Local ICE Contracts An attorney general had already imposed restrictions on how sheriffs and police can assist ICE, but advocates wanted those codified into law. Mikie Sherrill signed the bill this week.

New Jersey joins nine other states in banning local participation in ICE’s 287(g) program, and it is the fourth state to do so this year. Is your state among them? Learn more:

BLM Announces Plan to Fell Oregon's Last Great Forests There's a kind of forest in western Oregon that you feel before you understand. The BLM just gave the timber industry permission to tear it all down.

The currently headless BLM has filed to liquidate every remaining old growth forest in Oregon.

The story is here, along with prepared public commentary that you can submit in under one minute.

Public comment closes *tonight at midnight*.

Elon Musk is now worth $845 billion.

Tesla reported paying ZERO federal income tax on $5.7 billion of U.S. income in 2025.

Meanwhile, nearly a quarter of Americans are living paycheck to paycheck and household debt has risen to a record high.

See the problem here?
