Pleased to see this piece in @panworks.bsky.social section in Medium 🙂

It explains my work on the fabric of zoodemocracy and the ethnographic data I gathered at wonderful VINE Sanctuary 🐮

Here a recent interview with @joshmilburn.bsky.social for the podcast Knowing Animals on my article about the 'fabric of zoodemocracy.'

It was such a pleasure chatting with Josh. Many thanks again for the invite, and for the excellent work you do with the podcast, and everything else, Josh :)

Yes, that sounds very reasonable to me (re:main supervisor being from the host uni). And I concur, it does sound strange 🤷🏻‍♂️

It may be a good idea to ask whether they expect you to have a primary (regular meetings once a month, reading all chapters, etc) or secondary (a meeting once a year reading a single chapter per year) role?

As far as I know, it depends on. Some committee members in the US play the role of meeting the phd candidate once a year, other committee members are proper supervisors who meet their PhDs once a month or so. It just depends whether they expect u to be the primary supervisor or have a secondary role
