Man, I wasn't in private school, but I remember even the teachers went after what I now know was undiagnosed autism (and probably some ADHD, too). My middle school years were hellish enough I honestly blocked them out. I do remember teachers telling me to kill myself. It's incredibly cruel.
They've been trying as long as I can remember. They might just succeed this time. I just hope when it happens, everyone has the support from their community we've had to get them through.
...and haven't done a single thing to deserve this hell. As morbid as it may seem, I'm kind of glad Mom's not going to be here to see what happens around us. She would have been on of its victims, when they go for Medicare and Social Security. And don't think for a second they won't try. 5/
And all of this has been happening while our "elected" officials seem hell-bent on destroying as much of what's good about this country as they can. It's incredibly overwhelming. I'm worried about what's going to happen to my friends, my neighbors, everyone who's just trying to survive 4/
On the other hand, a lot of people have come out of the woodwork to help. We've reconnected with people we haven't seen in years, family I would've thought to be gone forever. And my workplace has been surprisingly accommodating. 3/
Everything seems to be specifically designed to either cost obscene amounts of money we don't have... or be as difficult as possible. All while you're grieving your loved one. 2/
I'm seeing a lot of people talking about being hugely depressed lately. I have been too, but for different reasons: my Mom passed a week ago. It's been... tough. Losing my last parent, plus getting things worked out is an absolute nightmare. 1/

Burns me that, to this day, some people act like this is a "lazy" job. But any time you tell them what it's like, they briefly realize you work in one of the Circles of Hell... then the sleeper programming erases their memory and they return to the same old rhetoric.
Showed someone one of my recent drawings and their first response was "your lines are blurry, you need to sharpen them."

I don't *want* sharp lines. I WANT them to look like that. There are *other styles.* Everything looking the same would be boring as hell.
