Jack assures Stella that she hasn't been poisoned. When she asks him why he is aware of his ghostliness while the others aren't, he gives some bullshit about how he's just more "mature" then his other classmates, to which Stella is skeptical. She just knows she's aware of magical spooky shit because of her arm eye.

Stella doesn’t seemed to phased by Jack’s reveal that he’s a ghost. She’s had a weird few months she explains. Jack tells the story of how his class was killed right before their prom and this has lead to their ghosts acting out the dance the never went to over and over again. He’s the only one who is aware of this. Stella asks how the died and Jack replies “poisoned punch.” Which causes Stella to drop her drink in panic.
