All my library holds came in at once so now I have to quit my job to read.

sometimes people reply to me with what I assume are the best of intentions to say like "fuck publishers! write what you want! nobody can stop you! who cares about external markers of success!" and it's like sure, yeah, I'm with you, outside of the part where I have to pay for rent and stuff

Felt this so hard because as much as I would love to independently publish, I also want to make sure I’m not about to dump all of my savings into something that’s not going to give me ANY return 🥲 I just have so much trouble with the idea of giving up any of my creative freedom.

I definitely recommend it if you like romance and you’re comfortable with smut! It’s got some deeper themes, so be sure to check your triggers. 😊

So I ordered a book from an online bookstore. I specifically requested the paperback since the rest of the series I have is in paperback. They sent me the hardback. So it doesn't match. Now I have to buy it again AND get the rest of the series in hardback as well.

Regrettably, I must confirm that marketing my books frequently does, in fact, result in more sales 🫠
