NASA’s Curiosity Mars rover took this selfie on Oct. 25, 2020, after drilling a rock sample from a spot nicknamed “Mary Anning.” After years of extensive analysis, the sample has revealed the greatest diversity of organic molecules ever found on Mars.

🚀 Breakthrough on Mars!
Mars Curiosity rover just discovered its most diverse collection of organic molecules yet. 7 of these 21 compounds have never been seen on the Red Planet before, proving Mars’ ancient chemistry was even more complex than we thought. #Mars #NASA #SpaceExploration

The FY 2027 NASA budget request hides its science cuts by omitting mission names instead of explicitly zeroing them out.
We did the work and found 54 missions cancelled in this proposal.
This is another extinction-level event for NASA science.

(April 6, 2026) In this fully illuminated view of the Moon, the near side (the hemisphere we see from Earth), is visible on the right. It is identifiable by the dark splotches that cover its surface. These are ancient lava flows from a time early in the Moon’s history when it was volcanically active. The large crater west of the lava flows is Orientale basin, a nearly 600-mile-wide crater that straddles the Moon’s near and far sides. Orientale's left half is not visible from Earth, but in this image we have a full view of the crater. Everything to the left of the crater is the far side, the hemisphere we don’t get to see from Earth because the Moon rotates on its axis at the same rate that it orbits round us.

👨🚀 The #Artemis II crew are now further from home than any humans ever, and European engines brought them there 🚀.
🌍 The record of 400 171 km was previously held by the Apollo 13 mission 🌕.

And presumably the sum total of subsidies over time for fossil fuels would be so much greater than for renewables.

Spoken like a true disgusting, rapist pig. The wonderful people of Cuba have suffered too much and for too long. They certainly dont need this idiot to “take them”.

AI generated list of Apollo Moon landing sites. There are several obvious errors, including made-up names. AI sucks.
This ai list is so bad and full of errors that I am giving it to my Planetary Geology students as an activity - find the mistakes! Everyone knows it was Tom Hanks that walked on the Moon during Apollo 13! Silly ai. 😂

Other than being so angry at all these fvkers, I also think generative AI was likely developped for these idiots who can’t even string 2 coherent sentences together.

Tangentially related - there’s a DnD club that meets in one of the college classrooms that I teach in. When I have a late class, I see them come in afterwards. Tempted to join them, but it’s been 40 years since I played 😯
