We built a tremendous coalition that will continue. Deepest thanks to @seattledsa.bsky.social, Washington CAN, @350seattle.bsky.social, MLK Labor, PROTEC 17, UAW 4121, Stop the Sweeps, LiUNA, @sharethecities.bsky.social, the Low Income Housing Institute, TRU, countless individuals, and on and on.
What a profound victory for funding social housing through a tax on the wealthiest companies. Regardless of what pundits say & how certain media outlets downplay our victory, we know that winning took a tremendous amount of work. You know that too! We knocked on over 40k doors, made over 50k calls.
Prop 1A is all of our victory. Every single supporter played a critical role in this win. From those who doorknocked, made calls, hand wrote postcards, tabled, told 5 friends, or simply voted. Each of you should feel proud! We deserve a better world, and y’all are willing to fight for it.
