Thanks, look forward to reading this...
Hi, I still use Twitter a little but far less than before
But as so many people were on there, I still find a lot more engagement with posts there than here...so far
Delighted with our feedback after the recent Get Published in Medicine online workshop on May 19th

"Enzyme promiscuity"
What an unusual phrase!
Who knew enzymes were such rogues?! 🤣
About fifty years ago, NASA strapped a message in a bottle to a rocket and flung it into the deep dark
It wasn’t supposed to go this far, but it did. Long past its mission, it’s still out there so far away now that a simple hello takes a day to reach it, and another day to hear if it says hello back
Strange trial
SGLT2i already proven in HF
They took patients with severe AS & HF and showed... they still work
No disrespect intended to investigators, but these results are exactly as expected
🤷🏽♂️
My 'unique link' from takepart@cesvotes.com doesn't work, having to request another link
Hope this doesn't affect too many others!

Agree that at present there remains greater medical engagement on X than here...although X has lost its charm too & many that I previously enjoyed engaging with have either left or use it far less often
Etymology of the day: ‘book’ comes from an ancient root shared by ‘beech’, a wood that people used for engraving inscriptions. ‘Paper’ comes from ‘papyrus’, and ‘volume’ is from the Latin for a ‘roll’ of parchment.
Happy World Book Day.
Can always count on the Dems to bring a banana to a gun fight.
For-profit health care might be damaging population health
Contracts have been deemed commercial in confidence, ensuring that for-profit companies enjoy an information advantage in negotiations & making it more likely that quality will be sacrificed over profit

Pleased to have completed successfully the Cardiff University Bond Solon (CUBS) Expert Witness Accreditation in Civil Law
A highly useful exercise for improving understanding of what is required of an expert witness and how to develop & cultivate the 'medicolegal mind'

@load-dependent.bsky.social knows much more!
All heart failure is NOT the same; and diuretics are NOT always the answer ‼️
In the very wise words of Dr. Frederik Verbrugge - "Elevated cardiac filling pressures and fluid overload are both important, yet grossly different features of acute decompensated heart failure."

Jeff Bezos never wanted this cartoon to become public.
He killed it, and as a result, pulitzer prize editorial cartoonist Ann Telnaes quit.
Make sure everyone sees this cartoon.
While we’re banning books…
Finland is teaching children in school how to recognize fake news and propaganda as part of critical thinking and civic responsibility. Some of this will seem very familiar.

Hope you find it a helpful summary!

Preliminary randomized data finds that bumetanide taken as a nasal spray is safe and effective in healthy adults. Eric Adler explains, “The idea here was to develop a parenteral alternative to [oral and] intravenous diuretics.” #AHA24 www.tctmd.com/news/nasal-b... #cardiosky
I’ve made a feed for #euroecho24, it will collect all posts mentioning EuroEcho with or without hashtags. I also updated my #echosky feed to do the same bsky.app/profile/did:...
