in my opinion this creates really odd layers of storytelling opportunities.

you can have completely independent islands like the map of tumblr. and send individual residents back and forth from competing islands. they can't stop you.

the equestria girls (and pinkie pie who remained a pony) were kind of a social experiment to see what would happen if a group of miis were quarantined on an island with no route to the main population.

the result is that they genuinely cannot leave and only gain social rank with each other.

am i insane or were one shot oddity original games that are in sum mid but have either good/great gameplay and boring/bad story OR good /great narrative but boring/bad story like 50% of the market in the bygone eras of yore. this is a PS3 ass game.

from what i can tell it does just look like a completely normal AAA game that has a cool gimmick and a paint by numbers narrative but because it's a fresh IP everyone has like forgotten that we used to like. have releases like this.

it is so darkly funny that as much as i want to get into ffxiv again when the gameplay had gotten so repetitive i only used it to play dolls... and when nikki is 100% playing dolls combined with the relaxing daily chores of an MMO...

i find it interesting to spectate and my brain is wired to find stupid synergies! but! i always thought training pokemon for it tedious and annoying so i never bothered... but now... that is a flimsy excuse...
