Sounds like a good system!

Anyone know why the 114 ave bike lane is blocked for the entire eastern stretch, like 12 blocks or so? #yegbike

Or the sidewalk where it is illegal to ride them and some poor parent with a pram, elderly person with a mobility device, or just a person with a dog has to navigate them. I put them in the road where they belong, but the level of selfishness displayed is extreme.

I ride it now and can’t believe we used to drive Keillor Road. Or that it was a major divisive issue to close it. Progressive even way back then.

Not just O&G typical activities in the area, also CO2 injection from Shell Quest project (largely government funded).

Thanks for the deets!

And those few who got out at the right part of the hype cycle. Given a 22 yr roller coaster, opportunity but timing is a mug’s game! Much safer bets elsewhere for sure.

I used to cycle everywhere until I started work 25km out of town. Since work from home the last 7 years, I hardly drive in the city. We got rid of one car, use our e-bikes for errands all year long. Better physical health, better mental health, lower cost, get to see my city and neighbours close up.

The first raised bed (south facing along white fence) has compost and shredded leaves dug in and should be planted tomorrow. Lettuce/mesclun first. Other beds to follow, then street-facing in-ground garden for root veggies. Tomatoes ready to be trans-potted one size up. Hurray for real spring?? #yeg

You’ve forgotten that’s the post-truth party. They’ll ride lies into oblivion.

No loss, except to employees out of work. Investors should have known better and smart ones probably cashed out long ago.

I always ride the road along Ada. Way too many dog walkers with long leashes have turned the MUP into something else, but it ain’t multiuser.

So what are you doing about Alberta’s precautionary use to void human rights across multiple fronts?? Anyone? Anyone?

I am fully on board patio fees. You want more room to seat more people and make more money? On public space? There’s a cost to that.

As a nickel guy, also ambivalent. Not a bad project, modern methods can largely address acid drainage issues, but they seem to have failed on broader social acceptance.

Also suggests PP will wipe out provincial sovereignty and remove their taxes for them. Cons are big on federal overreach, right?

To be fair, certain Cons do a better job of making fools of themselves on line…

Terrible policy, quit trying to be UCP lite. You got some of my money last year, not so sure about this year.

Absolutely. I rode through the winter, averaging over 150 km per month for errands. Yes to studded tires. I find often those who claim it’s too cold to bike see no issue with downhill skiing. I do stop at about -20 myself, but that is less frequent than people think and there are alternatives for it

I think this is a BS take from a party I have loyally supported and donated to. Keep the fuel tax, work on other affordability measures for those that need them, not the dudes commuting in $100k pickups with skinny tires. They bought a big fancy gas guzzler for looks, they can pay.

This is dumb. Pandering to the right. Leave the tax and focus on affordability for those who need it through existing tax measures, not relieving the truck and SUV as commuter vehicle dudes. Some of us still see climate change as a threat, and voted for you because of Carney’s supposed “values”.

This is BS framing. I have been a supporter and donor, but I need to think about where to place my vote if you’re just going to be UCPV2. Keep the gas tax and work on affordability for those who need it, not those who pollute the most by driving the biggest vehicles the furthest.

The exact kind of behaviour that got his team fewer votes in all 3 byelections than the government or in EACH one! Incapable of learning.

And will it really drop gas prices, or just inflate oilco profits??

Let’s subsidize those with the biggest vehicles who drive the furthest the most. Seems like poor climate policy…
