see how the placeholder art in Slay the Spire 2 is way, way more charming than any AI nonsense folk have been using

The cats choosing to act up ten minutes before bedtime after a whole day of chilling is incredibly funny but also quite annoying

โ€œHugh, you SOB!โ€

IMO the interactions between Hugh & Diana can be presented to be more genuine. Pragmata is visually amazing, and the hacking gameplay is refreshing & challenging. Lots of respect to Capcom for taking risks to introduce something new.

story's generally quite compelling. Quite cliched gumshoe noir writing style but surprisingly effective, and it doesn't bog itself down in lore dumps

the car combat's really cool, got a touch of Into the Breach about it, in that you can, if you're clever, push your opponents into the line of fire to save you the hassle of killing them yourself

got a code for Aether and Iron, so been playing that this evening. A cool mix of visual novel and turn based tactics. If you like Disco Elysium and Citizen Sleeper I reckon it'd be right up your street.

bit of boring housekeeping, but I've finally decided to set up a patreon. No special bells and whistles involved, just if you like my work and want to contribute to it, there's an option now:

NEW VIDEO: The Steamworld games are brilliant. Image & Form's tantalising, genre spanning shared steampunk universe is full of great little ludic treats, but with the future of the franchise looking a little shaky, I wanted to take the opportunity to bang the drum for some true indie treasures:

This is why I'm so fundamentally against any form of AI, it encourages laziness and a lack of care. Calculating medication doses is the easiest fucking thing in the world you just need a calculator and the BNF, and if you can't do it, that's what the pharmacists are there for

Really funny how Rupert's laziness overwrites his nervousness, in that the only time he lets me attend to his eye boogers is when he's installed in his perch

by some weird coincidence I've just seen the entire steamworld franchise is on sale on Steam at the moment

this is unrelated to the massive amount of money that has come out of my account this month...

there's almost a Monster Hunter esque feel to how the game handles, especially in the demo's boss encounter. Like the hacking thing could be a new weapon type

survival horror-esque third person shooter mechanics with pipe-dream hacking minigame in real time sounds absolutely hellish but they've pulled off a really sophisticated control scheme to make it make sense

just played the demo of Pragmata there, wow that's a concept executed pitch perfectly. Incredibly fun game.

None of these apps are any good for news anymore because they're flooded with misinformation and opinion disguised as fact. I don't need embedded videos just link to whatever platform

Problem with a lot of social media apps these days is they over complicate things I just want a chronological feed and the ability to post about my gay little video essays
