Using Post-it Flags to direct officers to the page with a visa or the page you want them to stamp works best.

Keep them folded in, then fold them out just before you reach the immigration counter.

The detail in this cathedral is absolutely mind blowing - every single element leaves your jaw hanging. From the lighting, the tree-like columns, the sculpture...

Visited several times over the years - it's safe to say we have witnessed a work of art in the making!

Yeah, Barna. Barca (without the cedilla) means small boat.

Heads up…

Barça refers specifically to FC Barcelona (football club). If you’re going to abbreviate the city’s name, the locals are happy when you refer to it as Barna.

I too was under that impression - probably because they state ‘registration’ which most people understand to be a one-time action.

All in-build planes are allocated a registration - those built in Germany start life with a German registration, those built in France with a French registration, those built in USA with a USA registration. In the post above you’ll see the G-TTSI UK registration it’s been allocated & will switch to.

Turns out mincemeat on toast is a thing, but they use brioche. You can even add marzipan for extra richness. share.google/aimode/CA6ta...

Don’t give up on it just yet… wait until Christmas and treat yourself to a proper mince pie.

Instead take 5mg or 10mg (or start at 20mg or 10mg then reduce the dose) of Promethazine Hydrocloride.

It’s an antihistamine so your GP will be more willing to prescribe it than they will Zopiclone.

Stay away from the Z-named drugs!!

You don’t dream when taking zopiclone because it doesn’t make you sleep - it’s more of an off switch. Your days will feel somewhat foggy. Incredibly easy to become dependent on them, incredibly difficult to stop taking them as your body forgets how to fall asleep.

And importantly, alcohol - usually brandy or rum. Some people do make traditional mincemeat which includes beef suet to add a rich & more silky texture.

Have you never had a mince pie over the festive season? This is what they put in as the filling for those tasty pies.

IAG drops out from TAP privatisation at bidding deadline IAG International Airlines Group has not submitted a bid for up to 49.9% in TAP Air Portugal (TP, Lisbon) by the April 2, 2026, deadline, leaving Lufthansa...

IAG didn't submit a bid, due to there not being a clear path to majority ownership. I too feel TP would be a great addition to the AF, KL & SK family - better them taking it over rather than Lufthansa Group.

Surely getting more countries using the app is a big step in the right direction?

Having seen your post, confirms that’s their new scare-mongering format to announce what is probably a small increase.

Saw the same kind of headline from them regarding BT landline phones. Was curious, so read the the story on a more-reputable website. Turns out the monthly rental on a specific tariff is going up by a few pence.

Sadly programs that offer lifetime membership always fail to make it clear & obvious that it’s for ‘the lifetime of the program’, not the lifetime of the member. And T&Cs enable them to remove benefits with advance notice (usually 30 days).

Check the T&Cs to determine what you’re supporting…

Listening to music while I work is my caffeine… I can’t get into the groove without the right beats.

Follow came on - there’s something about it I love… the bips, the bops, the woman’s voice. Whenever I hear I stop & just focus on the music - it’s like a big feel-good hug!

On that note, the United Arab Emirates has barred foreign airlines from operating at Dubai International and Dubai World Central until further notice. The UAE's General Civil Aviation Authority (GCAA) informed carriers that only UAE-based operators may continue flights.

Sure is, if you’ve a stash of dosh for the handset, as the packages are considerably cheaper… especially if you go with Giffgaff (owned by o2) or Smarty (owned by Vodafone).

Agreed.

As I was typing that up I was thinking about highend business class meals on the likes of SQ or QR. Most passengers in premium cabins don't realise that each item on their beautifully presentend plate, were in a box or foil containers until five minutes ago.

All re-routed flights come at a cost.

My response was more about airlines generally being able to 'work' with whoever they choose and book passengers on other airlines when necessary.

Airlines don’t need to be in an alliance to move people around the globe - EK and EY interline with numerous airlines that will happily transport passengers when they have availability.

I remember the snobbery when wine bottles with screw tops were introduced. Now, they’re brilliant because putting the top back on is easier then forcing a cork back in.

Transporting wine in Tetra Pak takes up less space & considerably less weight on every flight. In time it’ll be considered normal.
