The movie follows midwife Anne-Katrin on board our rescue ship Humanity 1, putting a female perspective on search and rescue. The care aspect of our humanitarian aid on board also includes recognising the lived realities of women and girls on the move. 2/4

Fewer rescue ships in operation do not stop people from fleeing – they only make the journey deadlier. Those who block humanitarian aid clearly accept this.

The price of the politically enforced shutdown of rescue ships is high. During the 60 days the Humanity 1 was detained, more than 280 people died or went missing.* 2/3
