My advice is to accept that a terrible first draft *is* the process.
If you write a terrible first draft (or several terrible early drafts) you’ll be in excellent company alongside most of the writers you admire.

The president of the United States is bragging about being able to write his own signature.
"The insanity of investing in a new playground when a dozen festering issues make the park unsafe should be crystal clear to one and all. Surely there’s more to the plan, one would hope — something substantive and sustainable. But that’s a risky bet."
“She described having the sex marker M in her passport as a ‘big problem,’ adding: ‘I don't blame Trump. I love him.’ Jenner said she appealed to him for help but received no response.”

This is a wild position for her to take when SAG-AFTRA is in the middle of negotiations and this is one of their biggest issues
Reese & Sandra both coming out w their let's lean into AI is not a coincidence. It's self interest. It's cynical and it's deeply disappointing that other creatives are willing to throw their fellow artists under the bus.
An orange and black and white monarch butterfly on top of a bright orange Mexican sunflower bloom. The flower is against a white fence.
Nature break. Very thankful to the bird or animal who planted this Mexican sunflower in my yard.
Good for him but I am tired of learning about all the ways a 41-year-old candidate for U.S. Senate supposedly has a lot more growing and learning to do. Maybe do that before the Senate? And maybe try out a lower office before then?
Or maybe we just watch him blossom into another Sinema/Fetterman.
A'ja Wilson is the best women's basketball player in the world. Rookie of the Year, 4 MVPs, 3 DPOYs, multiple time champion, 5-time 1st team all W. Last year she made roughly the median salary of an executive at Colgate-Palmolive.
Weird. The same team that's the *only* team without a Pride Night.
Simple enough! It's not like we live in a nation that's structured to prioritize driving in cars over every other transportation mode.

This was the inevitable next step for a country that used to turn lynching photos into postcards

Nothing says "America is Back Baby!" like "Allbirds became an AI hardware middleman because they wanted to pump their stock instead of going into bankruptcy, so they said they will find some computer chips somewhere, but can no longer sell shoes."
WARREN: I want to understand how slashing healthcare for families so Meta gets a $3b tax cut is a 'really good outcome for the American public'
IRS CEO BISIGNANO: I don't see the two as correlated
W: Those tax cuts were paid for by pushing people off their healthcare. Did you not follow that?
This Tax Day 287 major companies are avoiding $139,256,870,000 in taxes on $1 trillion of their 2025 profits.

Here at the council's first ad hoc committee since January 26 (!) to discuss LA28's new procurement strategy, LA28's human rights strategy, and a motion to prioritize sidewalk repairs around venues.
Listen here — sorry, we can launch a rocket around the moon, but no video for committee meetings
Strike averted! SEIU reached an agreement! Schools are open! It shouldn’t have had to happen in the middle of the night but it happened! #UnionStrong

We hear they may go until 4am…picketing is set to start at 7am…the teacher in my house is on pins and needles. But, as always, #UnionStrong.
Once again, for the latecomers:
Media mergers are bad for everyone. Bad for writers. Bad for actors. Bad for directors. REALLY bad for consumers. Bad for executives. Bad for literally everyone except the billionaires who own them. Do what you can to stop this. blockthemerger.com/openletter
