A court has ruled that the government's authoritarian ban on Palestine Action was unlawful.

Time to stop criminalising the people protesting a genocide - and start ending the UK's complicity.

We're looking to capture experiences of what it means to be queer in the UK today! To do that we're collecting day diaries for 12th February. It doesn't matter what you get up to, or how you record it, we'd love to have it!🧵 (1/4) #LGBTplusHM #lgbthm26

#OtD 2 Feb 1988 4 lesbians abseiled into the UK House of Lords in protest at the homophobic section 28. In 2017, 4 other lesbians climbed onto the Houses of Parliament in order to put up a blue plaque commemorating the 1988 action stories.workingclasshistory.com/article/9181...

Unless you’re expressing an aversion to mass producing more plastic toys in plastic packaging in which case sure. Or maybe you think her dress is ugly. I can see that. But if you just don’t like that they made her a cute little AAC device I can’t help you

Like this rules, it will make a lot of kids feel seen and most of the accessories/aids are removable so it’s not even like they’re forced to use them if they don’t feel represented by them personally. I don’t see any non-ableist (internalised or otherwise) reason to be upset by any of this

People are doing discourse about this (shocker) so I’m gonna weigh in and say I think she’s cute and this is a nice thing actually :)

Bluesky flagged the image thumbnail from a charity fundraising page as “adult content” (it was not). This is a placeholder so you'll see this post in a world of digital censorship.

We're honestly really annoyed we have to do this.

Here on Bluesky, the image from our appeal campaign page got flagged as "adult content" so every time we link it we have to use this thumbnail instead.

I am terrible at promoting my own stuff, but I was recently on a very cool podcast with absolute delights @krheyam.bsky.social and Ann of @vulgarhistory.bsky.social talking all things Anne Lister! It really does get rather vulgar...

A photograph of the former Halifax corn mill building as viewed from the train station platform. It is surrounded by orange, green, red and brown autumnal leaves and trees. The sky is grey (almost white) and you can see a bit of the train track in the bottom left.

A very sad and wet looking photo of the Anne Lister statue at the Piece Hall in Halifax. The statue is of Anne Lister, who is sat down with her chin resting on her fist, looking pensive.

Still on my way back from a cold, dark and wet Halifax visit (fortunately the archives were warm, light and dry)

🖤 ANNE LISTER 🪶
(3 Apr 1791 — 22 Sept 1840)

Anne Lister died on this day, as far from her Shibden Hall home as she had ever been, æt. 49. 💫 Grateful to all who have revived her singular story — and who amplify her ver. “proud spirit” and lifelong commitment to 𝓞𝟧+𝟥 [hope].
