TIMECODE too.

(I don't know; I still don't really know what PLURIBUS might be doing.)
I'm also curious to see how much X-FILES will end up in PLURIBUS. The whole mythology of X-FILES (the aliens, the rebel (?) aliens, the human conspirators, the human resistance fighters (?)) remains ridiculously and needlessly complicated, but also seems like something PLURIBUS might be doing?
The Gilligan-MacLaren episode, "John Doe", made me laugh because its plot involves human- and drug-smuggling between the US and Mexico AND a "pillar of the community" who has illegal business dealings AND features an aging man who talks very little but is very menacing.
But there's more! I'm halfway through the last season now, which features an episode written by Thomas Schnauz (!) guest starring Aaron Paul (!) AND an episode written by Gilligan himself that was directed by Michelle MacLaren! (In fact, it's MacLaren's first director credit on IMDB.
I first came to know Vince Gilligan through his writing for THE X-FILES, of course - three of his first five solo episodes were instant-classics "Pusher", "Paper Hearts", and "Small Potatoes". And he famously worked with Bryan Cranston in "Drive", which helped him cast Cranston as Walter White.
And I had forgotten, or more likely never realized, just how much DNA that it shares with BREAKING BAD and BETTER CALL SAUL.
Its first four seasons are, clearly, still its best. But there's more good stuff from the later seasons than I remembered.
Over the last year or so, I've been rewatching THE X-FILES. (Well, its first 9 seasons; I'm not going to bother with the revival episodes from 2016-18.) And you know what? It holds up!
And that end-of-August release date is NOT a good sign for box office success.
RIght now, it’s this two-parter.
For years, my answer might have been Julianne Moore. But lately I think it might actually be Michelle Williams, especially after Dying For Sex.
THE CHRISTOPHERS: good movie! But I still wish Soderbergh would work with a real cinematographer again.
Oooh boy, yeah I’m just gonna log off for a while.
Wait, there’s Madonna discourse? I don’t wanna know, do I?
Dammit, #ForAllMankind, I thought we agreed that we would never speak of that particular character ever again.
And so the one-legged jockey says, “Don’t worry about me baby, I ride side-saddle!”
[LBJ calling Joe Haggar]
It took me until now to watch last week's #ForAllMankind, so thanks for not spoiling it, I guess. And yes, I cried - both at the ending and also the Margo-Aleida scene.
We will *bee* there to support him.

Yes, very good.
Nicolas Cage in LONGLEGS walked so Amy Madigan in WEAPONS could run.
LONGLEGS is, for me, the best horror movie of the last 10 years (maybe longer) - so yes, I'm intrigued by the possibility of a sequel.

So, in a way, JD is a good Terminator.
He’s so famous!
I haven’t seen Under the Cherry Moon, but when I finally got around to watching Purple Rain a few years ago, I was shocked at how bad it was.
