I am really excited about the diversity of the project. From investigating the effects of local open science communities all the way to increasing public trust in science. Can't way to see the outcomes and congratulations to all the grantees! :)

#researchsoftware makes modern science possible - but sustaining it is hard.
That’s why Open Science NL partnered with the @esciencecenter.bsky.social and awarded it €5.4M to execute the Research Software Sustainability Programme: www.openscience.nl/en/news/open...

Really interesting webinar by the @sofair-oa.bsky.social project about recognising the value of research software as a scholarly output: docs.google.com/forms/d/e/1F... 11 December 16:00 CET
I am really happy that we can start jointly tackling the interoperability challenges in the Netherlands and proud that our funding @opensciencenl.bsky.social could have helped with this 😀
Wonderful to see the Dutch Interoperability Network: Bridging Data, Disciplines, and People getting off the ground: tdcc.nl/the-dutch-in...
Indeed: "interoperability is often seen as a technical add-on rather than an enabler of collaboration, reproducibility, and impact"
Awww that's such a wonderful and humbling surprise! I truly feel honoured to be in this crowd. Thanks so much @dannykay68.bsky.social for letting me know 🙏💓

Congratulations @ludowaltman.bsky.social and colleagues at @cwts.nl and Dialogic 🎉 We look forward to working together 😊
I'm very pleased to announce that @cwts.nl and Dialogic will develop an Open Science monitoring framework and prototype dashboard for the Netherlands in the coming 2 years.
@opensciencenl.bsky.social has selected the consortium through a European tender (outlined OSNL 2024–2025 work programme).
Thanks for writing this. Open data helps me see if I should trust or care about a particular study. If full data are crap and the paper shows amazing things, if not enough data was collected. Without data papers are nothing but illustrated essays. I see great value in having access to it.
Lots of interesting observations & ideas in this piece. “If we can stop rewarding people for output and instead reward people for good process, as judged by their own arguments that process fulfills the sound scientific principles, then we can maybe evolve towards a better state.”
What a beautifully refreshing message and reminder for the current times
“the kindest person in the room is often the smartest.” JB Pritzker is a mensch.
And a conclusion by Curtis Sharma @4turesearchdata.bsky.social "Yes, more reflection slows down the scientific process, but is that really a bad thing? We need to rethink what we mean by scientific progress."
"Across the AI movement we see the same belief — more measurements mean more data, which lets us do things more efficiently and effectively (…) But if your goal is to understand, explain, and interpret a phenomenon in relation to scientific theory, it’s not acceptable." @informusiccs.bsky.social
Valuable reflections by Antal van den Bosch, Curtis Sharma @4turesearchdata.bsky.social and Cynthia Liem @informusiccs.bsky.social:
Great article published by @jeroenscharroo.bsky.social @opensciencenl.bsky.social reflecting on the value of #openscience principles in #AI research: www.openscience.nl/en/news/open...
ZonMw and the Dutch Research Council have published their action plan for reforming research assessment, in line with CoARA principles.
The plan includes actions around reviewing and refining the evidence-based CV and exploring #openscience practices in grant evaluations.
