Wait... You can play games?

As a whole, one of the best Yakuza to play, even though I still like some other episodes a bit more.
My current ranking of the episodes without any context. Tiers not ordered.
Story has some of the highest high in the franchise with great characters and situations, over the top action and amazing development for everyone across the board.
And as bonus, the Majima side-story, while a bit short, is a great way to tie Y1 and Y2 while closing the book on some Y0 storylines.
Replaying it just after a re-run of Yakuza 0 and Kiwami gave me a greater appreciation of what really works in the game.
Sure, it has its defaults (enemies tendency to block a lot, a lot of armed fights, some early substories not that interesting) but the highs really outweigh the lows.

It's ok to have a fixation on IX and XIV.
They are both amazing and anyone who disagree will have to go through me.
Optimization is hell.
It takes time, money, can lead you absolutely nowhere and break things it should not simply because everything is connected.
Most of the times, you just stop when it's acceptable enough and move on instead of just fucking everything up.
Do you also chain them to creepy pipes in a torture chamber?
That might be where the issue comes from to be honest.
But to be fair, I have trouble making my friends play DBD without also torturing them for a bit first .
I see a lot of people doing self promotion for their first post and I'm here like how do I list everything that made who I am in 300 characters, where do i start, how can I decide what is more important between my babies, wait, have I eaten today?
No I'm not having a panic attack, you are.
I mean, social media by itself tend to be a popularity contest. People want more people to listen to them and less people to listen to that other guy that says something they don't agree with.
Starter packs have the advantage to at least try to group you with people you might agree with. Usually.
Everytime I try to describe it, my issue tends to be "Too many words".
Possible symptoms include: people trying to leave the conversation, falling asleep or having that weird blank stare with some drool coming from their mouths. Occasionally, new friends.
All might be pushing a bit too far but as a rule of thumb, if you heard about it somewhere, there is a huge chance that it's somewhat enjoyable.
The few others will at least give you cool stories to tell and/or a few nightmares.
Productivity is a myth, it has never been proven scientifically (no, I can't hear you, la la la la)
Easy answer for me: Okami. Just that feeling of joy and amazement going through it back in the day.
It's also one of the few games I don't really want to replay that often because I feel that the memories are more important than redoing it.
