A lot of people see faces in everyday objects. What does it mean when you see the Enterprise in orbit on a random public countertop?

Heads up if you receive an email from "groveatlantic@georgegibsoneditor.co.site" telling you how much they love your books and offering to work with you, it is a SCAM and not affiliated with Grove Atlantic Publishing.

How do you let readers know you've written a dystopian series (books and screenplays) that takes place under an ALIEN OCEAN? You add this to your author website landing page:
Always surprised/confused/happy when I see professional writing advice that already describes my own process.

I should add that while you can buy all 5 novellas for $6.95, you can also buy the 5-books-in-1 omnibus, "Novum Chronicles" for $5.99. So, win-win.
I wish I could convince people to stop buying the 5 separate novellas of my Novum saga and instead purchase Novum Chronicles which is the entire story in one 600-page book. Cheaper for them, better for me.

Why I write sci-fi novellas and then adapt them into screenplays:
I literally cannot imagine ever writing as many books as you have. Even if I went back in time and chose that path instead of science/engineering. Writing is something that I feel "compelled" to do, but because it is a sort of therapy for me, each story I write takes a lot out of me.
My last 5 books were 125-page novellas but they're linked stories so I really wrote a 600-page novel in sections. Anyway, each was outlined as 50 scenes, following a screenplay format, with each scene being between 750-1000 words. So I also know in advance how long it will be. My brain needs that.😉
I would call myself an architect in that I plan out the structure of every scene in detail, but dialogue & character interactions are "born" as I write. I'm surprised by some of the hook-ups that have occurred between these people that I didn't plan for. 😂 That's the main thrill I get from writing.
Instead of "Plotter" and "Pantser" I've heard "Architect" and "Gardener" being used to describe whether you plan in advance what you write, or just dive into the story and see what happens.

As l read that, I imagined an a cappella choir singing the opening to "You can't always get what you want" by the Rolling Stones. And suddenly it's become a Monty Python skit.🤪
My last six books have taken place underwater so it's kind of important, at least to me. 😂
Releases on March 30, 2026!
It’s 1967, and people are disappearing. Kurt and Alice barely escape a kidnapping attempt in the middle of the night, but now they’re on the lam, unsure who, or what, is pursuing them…or why…

I spent far too much time making it look like my author website is under water. Can anyone see the bubbles rising and particles swirling? Will anyone care? Well, of course one person cares. 😋
"Incandescent Rage" is a great punk band name. Trademark it quick! 👏

My first book, "Cyberdrome" was published 6,644 days (over 18 years) ago! It was supposed to be a one-off, because I'm a full-time scientist and have no free time. I ended up writing 6 more (and counting) + 2 scripts, because I caught the writing bug.
A toast to all the afflicted. 🥂
As an indie author for 10+ years, I’m not big on slashing book prices to boost sales since it often just makes a book seem cheap. Still, I’ve dropped the 5 novellas of my 4.8⭐ dystopian undersea sci-fi series NOVUM so that the full ~600-page saga is now under $7. I’ll let all you know how it goes.
I see so many authors posting on social media 20 times a day or more, and I'm thinking, if I had that much free time, I would spend it doing actual writing. But that's me.
I'm up every morning at 4:00 a.m. to start my day. Today I slept in till 5:00 a.m. and I felt like a slacker.🤪
Today I hiked 4 miles with my 2 adult children, cleared the area where my wife is putting bee hive boxes, let my chickens dust bathe for 2 hrs while texting with a friend about writing, and finally solved my website RRS blog feed issue. Just another Saturday and I'm content.
I like this one by Roald Dahl.

I understand the terror of "head sucking" but "tail pinching"? It must be level of horror that I'm unaware of. 😂
