Does the IPL need to go on for as long as it does? 14 league games is too many. Surely the tournament can be truncated, it doesn’t need to last two months. In my opinion it’s diluted.

A league of 10, play each other once, two semi finals and a final that should be the format.

Squad depth is only depth if you can get the players fit and on the pitch. We’ve been having to play players constantly in the Red zone and have people on the bench who are not 100% fit to return.

How many of the appearances have been the players returning from injury or not fully fit and forced to play, or a few minutes off the bench etc. Stats are great but context behind the stats is key.

Is that not part of the problem though, players are brought back, forced to play when not ready, or they get more minutes than they should and they get injured again? Viscous cycle causing a lot of injury problems this season. Same thing happened with Eze and White this season.
