Robert Reich @rbreich.bsky.social posted on Facebook that CVS taxes were -3.88 % in 2025. But I looked their net income ($1.7B) and taxes paid ($480M) in 2025 and the percentage was about 28%. I’m confused.

There really needs to be a requirement (in the EULA) that should a company choose (or are forced) to terminate operation, they should be obliged to release license-free versions of their applications (or plugins) and perhaps even release the source-code.

Indeed - but there's another gotcha. Should NI (or indeed any company using a server-based licensing system) go away, then you won't be able to license that archived software on new machines if those servers go away.
