So cool! Especially love the tilting effects of, I guess, the head movements and momentum. Super impressive!

This was a super nice episode! It's so crazy, I've been reading and listening to a lot of Lucas Pope interviews lately, it's like you guys knew! Really fun conversation.

Pixel art title screen showing a kid farmer petting a sheep. The title says 'Hardcore Herding', with the subtitle 'by Fronklin'.
Just finished my first gamejam game! 'Hardcore Herding' is an arcady, Atari 2600-style game in which you're a boy farmer tasked with protecting a flock of sheep against waves of hungry wolves. I had a blast making it in Pico-8 and tinkering with pixel art.

Can't recommend this podcast episode enough: Keza MacDonald is a living gaming encyclopedia and an inspirational person and journalist. Another great interview by Simon Parkin!
Yeaah awesome you had Keza on, can't wait to listen to this episode!

Congratulations!
I've noticed! It's such a fascinating game. I also interviewed Bennett Foddy btw, before the release of Baby Steps, for the (Dutch) newspaper I work at, de Volkskrant. I can DM you a translation of that article, if you'd like!
I love, love, love this interview about Baby Steps with Gabe Cuzzillo and Bennett Foddy by @mackeza.bsky.social! Super well-written, funny and insightful.

Thanks! But now I can't not ask... what's your list of morning puzzles?

No thank YOU! Have been reading your and Keza's articles for a while now, they're a big inspiration for my own games journalism at de Volkskrant here in the Netherlands!
