Children killed, a school turned into a graveyard: even in wartime, we can’t accept this | Gordon Brown There are rules and world leaders must insist they are honoured in practice and in spirit. After this atrocity in Iran, a more effective tribunal for crimes against children is essential, says former prime minister Gordon Brown

Isn’t it curious how so much to do with Reform seems to lead to the other side of the old Iron Curtain. Handy they’re a company, not a political party, so you can’t see all the funding, isn’t it?

The arrest of my friend and colleague Don Lemon is an outrageous attack on the First Amendment and free speech in America. This cannot stand.

Can UK Health Trust US Tech? A remarkable article by a Cambridge-based computer scientist Quentin Stafford-Fraser has set all sorts of alarm bells ringing for me.

open.substack.com/pub/rorycell... Things have moved on rapidly since I published this on Wednesday warning that the UK health sector’s dependence on US tech could leave us vulnerable if we fell out with Trump over Greenland. In today’s Observer @jjn1.bsky.social quotes me and Quentin S-F

It’s not about drugs. If it was, Trump wouldn’t have pardoned one of the largest narco traffickers in the world last month.

It’s about oil and regime change.

And they need a trial now to pretend that it isn’t. Especially to distract from his sinking under Epstein and skyrocketing healthcare costs.

I still remember how bad a state every single one of these dogs were in when I found them in various bad situations in Thailand.

This was a surprise from the @happydoggo.com team. Talk about emotional just 3 hours before the Marathon!

This is a real photograph of Washington, DC this week, where the United States president has ordered military occupation in peacetime, and ordered the display of colossal portraits of himself.

I prosecute and defend the most serious sexual offences in our courts.

The overwhelming majority of offenders are British-born. Overwhelmingly the victim is someone known to them, either a partner or relative.

Anybody purporting to care about protecting women might start there.

Brad Lander: "I'll keep coming back to court, week after week" YouTube video by Brad Lander for NYC

Tonight, I'll go home and sleep in my bed. I have a lawyer, I'll get due process.

But Edgardo, whose arm was ripped from mine by ICE agents, has none of those things.

That's why I'll keep coming back to court, week after week, to make sure that people's rights are protected.
