Well the input matters, thanks for reporting. We use Different opacity at the moment. Had a legend at one point but it got too busy.

Correct, each user sees their own events plus the group events. Others won't see yours.

What do you think would help make it more clear? I'm a poor designer 😅

We show the user's events (should be faded) on the group calendar so you can see any conflicts when deciding which events to attend.

Any suggestions to improve on that intent, or should we just remove the personal events?

We're still in transition from a traditional app into an AT protocol app, and profiles haven't been unified fully, so this is kind of expected, but not nice.
