Democrats did not want to do any mid-decade redistricting. It was Trump who started it in June 2025 with a phone call to Greg Abbott after more special election losses. Dems warned they’d respond. But Texas did it anyway - without the consent of the voters. Then Dems responded.

Tax cuts for the rich are a policy choice. Cutting the social safety net in exchange for them is a policy choice.
States like New York have an opportunity to help undo this trickle down nonsense by raising taxes on the rich (who will still be rich).
I hope Gov. Hochul does.
It is hard for the left to realize that the right may have valid arguments. As examples, globalization and the move away from fossil fuel had huge negative impacts on workers not that they shouldn’t have been done. Nothing was done to ameliorate those consequences. We do policies but not impacts.
He only cared about ONE thing...how it looked on TV. Enough has been said regarding the impossible healing job...not enough said about the depravity it takes to kill your followers to make good television.

The question assumes a distribution but doesn’t say what the differences between the levels would be. Now we have extreme wealth at one end and extreme poverty at the other. I would love to know how far people would go to flatten the range.
