We've had to build these networks of information and medication out of sheer epistemic neglect and malicious pathologising, and until and unless healthcare providers catch up and have a serious reckoning with the rampant abuse they pass off as treatment, we have no choice but to continue as we are.

That’s not new. It started in the 70s following the challenge to Sir Ewan Forbes inheriting his barony.
They felt it was a threat to primogeniture.
It was after that ruling (& Corbitt v Corbitt) that law changed preventing trans people ‘self certifying’ their gender in the UK.
We've just learned that the person at the MHRA whose letter caused Wes 'I follow the clinical evidence' Streeting to cancel the puberty blockers trial is Professor Jacob George, the GC who enjoyed mocking trans people on his social media account.
Why did Wes Streeting cover up his name?
So between denying trans kids access to affirmative healthcare and the guidance effectively banning social transition in schools, one could be forgiven for concluding that the government's strategy is to to maximise the suicides of trans kids, to minimise the numbers who survive to be trans adults.
We need Nuremberg on steroids for all of these genocidaires.
"Cross-sex" hormones is a delibrately weaponized misnomer like biological sex IMO.
They are generally present in all sexes in different proportions.
Why is any medical treatment at the whim of politicians?
Genuinely, why?
If you've watched how NHS England - stuffed, as Kemi Badenoch explicitly told us, with her handpicked transphobes - does trans* healthcare you can't be surprised by this from @erininthemorning.com.
But still, it's an important service to see her lay it all out.
All of the people responsible for undermining trans rights and access to healthcare seem to act as if prejudice is impossible.
They wouldn’t even let trans people speak. They trampled all over the intent of lawmakers. They trampled all over Goodwin vs UK.
If contempt is a form of hatred, then hatred is emblazoned here.
‘Is this institution either interested in or capable of hearing your class of people?’ is I think a foundational question regarding judicial legitimacy. I don’t actually need judges to be bigots to know that they spectacularly fail this test regarding a whole range of differently minoritised groups.
I analyzed over 10 years of anti-trans legislation. Over 330 bills have passed, with ~300 of them in just the last 5 years. There is no precedent in American history for so many bills to target one particular minority group like this in such a short timeframe.

Putting together an analysis of all the anti trans laws over the last few years and there's never been anything like this in US history. The total number of state laws passed in 5 years (300+) approaches the total number of Jim Crow laws (400+) passed over a 100 years.
The FWS Scot judgement has permanently eroded my trust of the judiciary. The fact that a minority could lose their human rights without even getting to represent themselves is obscene.
Awful lot of people in the news "identify" themselves as 'journalists' when they are just glorified chatbots for their editors or far-right thinktanks...
When John Lithgow says JK Rowling's views have been "twisted and misrepresented" the obvious follow up question is "what exact views are you talking about, John?"
But there's never any follow-up.
And Lithgow's reasons for doing the job are ugly and self-serving and tarnish his reputation.
i mean, they're part of the pipeline that turned "trans activist" into what's functionally a liberal media editorially acceptable slur
& since anything we say is inherently "advocacy" in their distorted perspective, anyone who is speaking against us is automatically not-advocacy & therefore welcome
A look at the UK's history when it comes to LGBTQ+ people is seeing how often it was forced by others to respect queer people, only giving in when it had no choice.
Trans day of every tabloid shuts the fuck up about us forever. Trans day of let us have our healthcare and leave us the fuck alone. Trans day of tearing down the panopticon. Trans day of let us control the narrative instead of deferring to some cis sexologist's hallucination.
I've never been big on the gimmicky named days/weeks/etc, but I'm over the jokes about how it would be better not to be visible.
Trans people disappearing and cis people never having to think about us again is exactly what they're trying to achieve.
happy trans day of visibility to all of the incredible trans people in my life. the world is better with you in it and I'm never going to stop fighting for you, because your fight is my fight. we're in this together.
It’s been 5 weeks since NYU Langone ended care. Mamdani’s office has not directed H+H to absorb patients or enforced NYC human rights law against the hospitals stopping care. He also has not answered multiple trans journalists questions on if he will commit to doing so.
One side is dropping everything to kill us and “our” side can’t be bothered to do the bare fucking minimum
"third gender" and its just the local equivalent of "shemale"
Supreme Court legalizes torture.
i'm glad i'm not a lawyer so i don't have to pretend banning child torture and speech are in any way related
“States can’t ban conversion therapy but they can ban trans healthcare. They can’t regulate ‘crisis pregnancy centers’ but they can ban abortion. The plain text of the Constitution just happens to align with the GOP political platform. Do not dare suggest we’re doing politics.”
—The Supreme Court
This is one of the reasons why I’m overall steadfastly pro-internet for teens, it’s one of the only lifelines for queer and trans teens. It’s one of the only ways to access information, support, and see representation of a brighter future. And there’s a massive bipartisan effort to take it away
