This is what I've always said. If the Candidates cannot or will not answer a direct question (other than 'Why did you kill your mother') then they should just be dropped. And if they didn't answer the first time then the question should be repeated until they do.

Lifting sanctions just lets them make their own money - If I was Iran that just wouldn't be good enough. Given that the US basically made a terror attack, it needs to be punished - Thus the Billion dollars a day until everything is repaired.
That still doesn't pay for all the civilians killed.

That wasn't a problem before the US bombed Iran. I'm sure that Iran would re-open the straits if the US moved all of its 'resources' back to the US & paid Iran reparations of $1 billion per day (like the war is costing) until all of the damage is fixed?
