I am so incredibly pro luke farritor
we've made a new load balancer at sfc for folks running inference servers across multiple clusters and i'm so excited
that sounds like a great law for folks in the EU
Banning developers who make things on at proto makes me so much less excited about bluesky
How is this to work if you ban folks for *checks notes*… reading the firehose?
Isn’t the whole point that you can make your own feed?
Bluesky people it is bad to listen to mobs who are blindly against ML because they don’t understand it
Bad mods
I feel like a social network can only be healthy if it is possible for someone to anger a subset of the network without being obliterated.
Obviously this isn't true for all topics, but a personal hope for BS is that mobs are harder to form and gain outsized leverage.
Bsky uses open protocol like email or http. The very act of posting on bsky / at proto is granting others anyone access to redistribute that content, thats how the protocol works and is the point of it
no one owns your data but you! If you do not wish it to be redistributed, don’t post publicly
you can use this to autoscale based on market prices; which makes it fantastic for large batch-inference clusters
soft launching k8s on @sfcompute.bsky.social
buying a cluster on sfcompute.com will now give you a kubernetes cluster!
this is our managed k8s service and we're really excited about it, because it will let us scale to far far more compute
I hope bluesky ignores this and continues down the values of an open protocol
i think blue sky will have a lot of mobs in the early days, because a good portion of people who left twitter came not for the at proto, but because they were doing mob-behavior against twitter
so im guessing a large set of the userbase are explicitly into being angry mobs
this sounds like an nvidia gpu-operator flakey bug that only smooth japanese jazz can fix
omg is it happening
okay let's do some golang
If bsky is open, i really want it to win
this is so clever
I would like a bsky-native "status page" or incident response product
there are probably lots of interesting startups to be done if bsky becomes "the platform"
oh okay maybe bsky will win
bsky being open makes me want to explore it, it feels more like the internet
Hell ya
Hello rain
okay the more i learn about bsky the more i like bsky
Hello sf people can u reveal urself

Okay fine lets use bsky
Hello from San Francisco Compute
