Yeah I might be the only Puck subscriber who doesn't listen to him, I acknowledge that

The fracturing of algorithmic spaces is fascinating. As an avid podcast listener—including some Galloway adjacencies—I have never even heard his voice. I don't even oppose the idea of one day hearing him. But I don't know the backstory you're referencing because he's so out of my life.
Anyway I listened to Purple Rain on my way into work and sang loudly on the subway without regard and only got a look when I got to "NIKKI STARTED TO GRIIIIIIIIIIIIIND"
I think where I've settled at this stage in my life is that Songs in the Key of Life is the greatest album ever, Purple Rain is my favorite album ever, and they each are second place on the opposite lists.
I had never considered the idea of a worst track on Purple Rain until @bomani-jones.bsky.social brought it up. I can't fathom skipping a song from it on a playlist, and in the album order it's even crazier because the sequencing is as perfect as the songs.

You ever drift off for a moment and think about how the Hawks promised Shelden Williams they'd take him fifth overall in the 2006 NBA Draft despite him not even being top 10 in many draft boards just so he wouldn't work out for other teams even though the top four picks were already basically locks?
Buddy go to cbssports.com on Saturday morning if you want a R4-7 mock draft we gotchu

i knew you'd be a pot head

"why yes honey my entire internet presence is built around how much i love you and definitely not things like Eric Ebron's target share"
I have had a hard time grasping why Tate was handed the WR1 title so early on, and as I get to know Tyson/Lemon/Concepcion better, I think I might have Tate below all three.
I love that in Spanish if you want to say "excuse me" you have to consider exactly the tone you mean to set in choosing between "perdón," "escusame" or "disculpe."
No, thank YOU
For anyone who lives in New York City, I cannot recommend @thecity.nyc’s daily newsletter highly enough. Even just for this daily section:
The prior line is “got this bitch speaking Spanish” which is what leads to the absurd phrasing for the rhyme
A favorite of mine is from Housewife:
I’m mannish, get yo nails out my back
The only way to do it is to go full Antonio Brown
Dick hat and dickhead
I can't speak to the work of other outlets, but here's a pretty long story about their history together, both as players and partners that I think handles the subject responsibly @jeffpearlman.bsky.social: www.cbssports.com/wnba/news/az...
My 3yo just used his cutest sleepy voice to inform his mother of an important fact:
“Sometimes I fart, and sometimes I don’t.”
Also a band that was very intentionally not for everyone
I regret to inform you that Häagen-Dazs’ new Peanut Butter Brittle flavor is incredible.
to be clear his descent has been steeeeeeeper, but also far less disappointing to me because i never really thought he was anything more than really good at making music
I think Chappelle's descent has been more disappointing than Kanye's by a wide margin
I wrote about Dianna Russini, the constant pressure female reporters face to prove they aren't sleeping with sources (plus the pressure we do get from sources to get involved with them), and why all of this is so uncomfortable to talk about.

Crazy NBA Draft fact:
The Pacers haven't had a top-five pick since 1988 (Rik Smits No. 2 overall)
