A timely piece by @alanlee99.bsky.social for History Matters about the rainbow flag... (And a reminder that we're still seeking London-based scholars working in queer and/or trans* studies & willing to participate in a research roundtable @ Roehampton Uni in May. Pls get in touch if that's you!)

celebrating @carolinesharples.bsky.social’s The Long Death of Adolf Hitler. This unique cultural history, rightly and impressively, gives no visuals of him or them.Great, thoughtful work from @yalepress.bsky.social

This was a brilliant course! I took it a few years ago & learned so much. It definitely informed the writing style for my new book. Thoroughly recommend!

The truth about what happened to Hitler’s corpse There was no surviving witness to the dictator’s suicide on April 30 1945, which created a cultural vacuum ripe for myth-making

When your feature for @telegraph.co.uk gets saddled with a totally misleading, clickbaity title that has nothing to do with the actual theme you were asked to write about... 🤦😒 (linked, reluctantly: www.telegraph.co.uk/books/non-fi...).

A poster advertising details of the call for participants for a roundtable discussion mentioned in the post. Key details to note: The seminar will be held on-campus at the University of Roehampton. While the event will be hybrid, participants are asked to attend in-person. Current plans for the research seminar to be on a Thursday or Friday in May, but this is subject to the availability of participants. Anyone who is interested, or may know anyone they could recommend are asked to DM, and I am willing to provide my email for any inquiries here too.
