Yesterday I was answering a question on ethnicity and was offered the choice between White English and White British. Somehow White English seems odd (even allowing for Welsh ancestry). Do some people object to being British?

HT had a deaconess in my day - the only one in the Diocese of Ely, and they couldn’t think they wanted another (they were my sponsoring diocese) It was a different world!

Christ Church was a church plant out of STAG. It is in the same parish as St Andrew-the-less, which used to be known as the Abbey Church in my day

Unless you have v little luggage we found some sort of wheels to transport tent etc to field useful. Ours were a cheap trolley from IKEA
