I miss when the bar for fan games was just this instead of trying to be mania or a saturn game

sometimes i remind myself of the current status of sonic fangames and i feel like this fucking picture the more i think about it.

i'm not sure what's your thoughts on this but what scares me the most is that kids are just not making them anymore. it's only peeps around ~17-20 yo. it's been quite a while since i've seen a proper kid made sonic fangame and to me those amateur ones are what really makes this thing special
