Still three weeks left to get your submissions in! I've already gotten a many responses which is good, but unfortunately they echo what I feared (and sadly expected): Black Game Developers are being hit harder on practically *all* fronts despite making up a smaller portion of the industry.

thanks everyone. waking up without her today was really hard.
man, this week went from incredible lows to wonderful highs right in time for the lowest I’ve felt in a long time.
I’ll miss my big girl dog. She was the dumbest, sweetest, most beautiful and perfect creature ever. She died in our eldest’s arms surrounded by the people she loved most in the world.
So, I had fun at #BookCon today
I’m an enormous fan of alternative controllers, especially in the work I’ve seen (and played) at MAGFest and alt.ctrl.GDC.
My fave of the last few years has to be Haber Dasher. www.gamedeveloper.com/marketing/-h...
Utterly ridiculous and so fun.
It’s horror for sure, but more atmospheric and psychological than body horror and gore.
Now that I’ve wrapped up (mostly) with week one of my Indie TTRPG a week project, I’m moving onto playing Dwelling.
Research is my best friend in every facet of my writing, but it's especially when I need to create a believable world for my horrors to exist in.
Ask me about all of the dialect research I did for Terrible Lizards sometime XD
I've chosen two potential solo TTRPGs to try next, but I haven't decided which one I'll do first. More on that later!
I still have a little podcast episode to record as my character from All Night Breakfast at the Midnight Owl, but I've wrapped up the bulk of my reflection and the story itself.

Wrapped up playing All Night Breakfast at the Midnight Owl for my indie TTRPG project.
I'll be writing a gameplay design reflection a little later this week, in addition to recording an actual podcast episode as this character, but here's a taste of the story: www.writualmagic.com/all-night-br...
It’s infuriating when a woman comes forward about a man raping her in his hotel room after drinking and the response is “Why would she go to his room?” “Why would she drink with him?” This is Mike Pence logic. Women should be allowed to hang out with men without expecting they will be raped.
Derek Van Dyke has been slandering, harassing, and traumatizing me for a year and I am done living in fear and being silent about it. I am going to give the narcist his attention, but after this I am never talking about this again.
One of my very first memories was sitting on my dad's lap as he played a game (no idea which one), but the first time I touched a controller was for Centipede on the Atari 2600. I think I was three?
At least the makeup was good tonight bc the rest of me is 🫠
Hey folks, I am looking to fill out my Spring/Summer with work! Are you launching a crowdfunding campaign, or looking for community building help? Business development/marketing/sales?
Let's work together!
This blows, hire Elisabeth damn it
pls feel free to get in on this project with me. I’m gonna clear my zine backlog one RPG a week!
dude this system is so cool
Promised I’d do this, so here’s a taste of what I’m doing in the small fictional PNW town of Luna Grove while playing All Night Breakfast at the Midnight Owl.
(More about the project here: www.writualmagic.com/project-indi...)
I mean.. yes! All of this! It’s all very true.
But also mostly the threat of nuclear war, that’s the thing that’s making it extra hard today (genuinely not being glib, just explaining)
Iran is home to 95 million civilians.
I absolutely reject the idea that our fellow human beings are “a cancer.”
woof, yep
me and my teams just plugging away at our games and I’m like, “well, we have deadlines and milestones and things to do, so uh…“
about sums it up, yep
