I do this too, though undergraduates sometimes just stick with prof. Even in the research space.

Fred from Scooby-Doo unmasking the bad guy at the end of a mystery, in two frames. First frame: Left side: a tied up man in a white featureless mask with eye holes. The caption over him in impact font reads, "SOMETHING I USED TO LOVE SUCKS NOW" Right side of frame, Fred has his hand on the mask, about to pull it off. The caption on him reads, "LET'S SEE WHO'S BEHIND THIS." Second frame: The unmasked bad guy has a pencil thin curling mustache, a pointy nose, and dark hair, with a widow's peak. The caption on him reads, "PRIVATE EQUITY"

TLDR; but also DUH! Where do I collect my money? I did predict this shit well over a year ago.
100% All that time you spend on quadratics in high school -- very useful for physics! lol
I helped both my kids (and sometimes their friends) with their high school math (esp during COVID) and have come to realize I love that stuff! And you’re right, the older we get the less of a difference between 16 and 19 😂
Vermont had one too, last century. Connecting all the little towns. I might hate it less here if I could hop a train instead of sit in my car for an hour to get to anything 🤷♀️
High school physics/ math teacher for me.
I loved this book. It speaks “Astronomy” so loud and proud. I felt like I was in it.
I’ve been wondering this for years. The Maui Costco does this and it is great!
The folks who brought you "if the president does it it must be legal" (which is false) can't seem to wrap their heads around "if the Pope says it, it is theological doctrine" (which is the bedrock of Catholicism!).
My baby just committed to UC San Diego. Why do they gotta leave the nest to go SO FAR? 😢
Someone (in my family?) is doing my wordle in my games account. Because some days I don’t get to it until late and it’s already done. Today, it was half done. And the imposter is using *my* starting word. It’s starting to get creepy…
Very cool. Gave me chills!
What lies in the wake of this motherfucker should be a lesson to us all. e.g.,

Hurly burly
So much in here resonates with me and why I wanted to become an astronomer (not astronaut; the thought of leaving Earth terrifies me).

Humanity did that. Science did that. Publicly-funded research did that. Excellent universities did that. Diversity did that. International cooperation did that.
Artemis II is a perfect example of what we can do at our best.
Welcome home, Integrity crew!
Urinals in the lady’s room was a daily reminder.
I need to share this with a colleague who is not on the socials (at all!) -- is there a link that i can send her? your 1-minute literally answered all of their questions! :-)
We use this convention a lot in astronomy. The Milky Way has a name but we also call it the Galaxy. We live in the Solar System; there are other solar systems out there. And we live in the Universe, but in theory there could be multiple universes.
Ok it’s working now. I don’t know what was going on before. Thanks!
The link seems to be dead? I really enjoyed your perspective and wanted to share it with a student.
In an effort to find some images for an Eratosthenes problem that I am writing, I came across an article titled "Debunking Eratosthenes" in the Journal of Geocentric Cosmology (with a link to "Enroll in Flat Earth University").
I cant help but conclude again that the internet was a bad idea...
Sanders: But there is another vision out there as well—a darker vision. It is a vision which says that we must give up on democracy, that we are too stupid and inept to govern ourselves, and that we must put more and more power into the hands of one man.
It's not my impostor syndrome that bothers me. It's the fact that not enough other people feel this way about themselves and go about their work so confidently but so incompetently.
If you make it further, you’ll know why I brought it up. FWIW I thought it was terrific!
Have you seen Pluribus?
And here I was trying to convince folks that we need to build one as part of our strategic plan that is under construction.
Even after all this, I think many people are underestimating the irreversible, fundamental changes to this country and the world order that’s been unleashed in the past year and a half. (Yes, since the win).
Definitely the food! 😂
