I get that Nexus Prime leaves a bit to be desired, the lack of his own combiner frame is a bummer. BUT! His bot mode is some great Diaclone/early 80s style robot goodness, and that vehicle mode? Hell, the Enigma even looks like a power up
Given that, a reboot in today’s political and definitely press environment has a lot of potential. Sure it’d include the fighting of vampires and swamp monsters played by Richard Kiel and Native American Shaman played by Richard Kiel (ok, not that one) but I feel like it’d have legs.
Dani and I have been watching Kolchak (it’s on archive.org) and the overall theme is mostly that the govt, cops, and corps all are some amount of incompetent and corrupt and the truth can save us, even if it doesn’t necessarily get out. Also, monsters. 1/2

The old Hasbro one hasn’t aged well, and while the movie design is fine, I like the comic look more. This is the original Ronin bits adapted to a black costume Spidey body with heads from the MCU Ronin modified, one with a 3D printed mask.
I’m imagining House on the Rock, but with the cantilever projecting outward like a phonograph horn.

Yeahhhh. It’s a tough line to walk. Though I’d say any Mandarin from his blue 80s armor on is far enough from the yellow peril vibe (and further than the 4in Mandarin Hasbro did!) that it’d be ok.
