I'm going to keep testing and gathering more data which I will post in the next couple weeks.

Has anyone else tried putting with only one eye open?

Looking at my data, my stroke is much more consistent with only the lead eye open! My face angle is better and more consistent. My strike is much more center face.

I know n = 1 here, but this is super interesting!

I sometimes use technology to measure the putting stroke when I practice... I was using it during this 1st session. My stroke became noticeably more consistent.

I have had three total sessions (across three different days) where I putt with only lead eye open (the putts are from 4 to 12 feet).

I was working on my setup with a putting mirror, focusing on position of my lead eye. I was doing this with only my lead eye open. After getting into setup, I would hit the putt and for some reason I started keeping only the lead eye open.

Putting with only my lead eye open. As an fyi, I putt lefty and my right eye is my dominant eye (my dominant eye is my lead eye). Not sure if the eye dominance matters...

Have you ever tried putting with only one eye open?

I stumbled into something interesting during my putting practice...

A 5 handicap from ~100 yards in the fairway...

Will average the same number of strokes to hole out...

As a tour pro from ~225 yards in the fairway...
