Really trying not to feel worried about the results of the election tonight but I can feel the dread building as the day goes on. Please Canada, don’t fail the group project 🥺 I’m not sure I can handle feeling the same way I felt after Nov 6 twice in one calendar year.

New voters: If I’m not mistaken, you can register to vote in person at your polling centre or online @ registertovoteon.ca
Thank u for reading my TedTalk. 🫡
A reminder that, in politics, perfect is the enemy of good. You probably won’t align perfectly with anyone. Look for parties aiming for net good for the community.
I know it’s winter & cold & no one wants an election right now but we have got to persevere and get to the polls
Decide which platform you align with the most and, for heavens sake, actually vote. Vote for the future of free & accessible healthcare, vote for the climate, vote for supporting the people living in encampments all around the province with limited access to services and housing.
A personal opinion: this election is a blatant power grab and the Ontario PCs think we’re stupid enough to fall for it - they currently have a majority government. They don’t need a stronger mandate. Don’t let the Trump/Tariff talk fool you. Look at your local candidates ⤵️
If you are not sure where you fall on the political spectrum, this vote compass is a handy tool to help guide you: vote compass.cbc.ca
In Canada, all provinces have the first-past-the-post or plurality system, meaning that the candidate winning the most votes in each electoral district is the winner, regardless if this is less than 50 per cent of the votes cast. (Per OLA.org)
If you are a liberal or NDP voter, it’s time to step up & get out to the polls. Polling stations are often very close to you, in a local school or community centre, and listed on your ballot (you will get in the mail), along with locations and times for advanced voting.
The current conservative provincial government has pushed through the sale of Ontario Place, creation of Highway 413, & withheld federal funding from healthcare & housing. They have also spent $615m taxpayer dollars on putting alcohol in corner stores, amongst MANY other things.
In the last ON provincial election only 43% of eligible voters turned up to the polls & the Conservatives formed a majority provincial government bc they’re good at mobilizing their base of supporters to vote. This means it’s MUCH easier to pass legislation uncontested.
A reminder: in Canada, provincially, we vote for MPPs (Members of Provincial Parliament) & the party with the most elected MPPs forms government for 4 years. We do NOT directly vote for premier in the Canadian system.
Also a reminder of what Provincial government looks after:
Elxn season in Ontario & I’m about to get real annoying on the internet about voting. 🫡
If you are old enough to vote (looking @ you, youths of Ontario), make sure you are prepped & ready for Feb 27 (or early voting if you’re busy on the 27th!).

I’m covering US Nats for my friend who’s on mat leave!
(I’ve never been to US Nats before, and frankly the state of US-CAN relations right now is causing moderate to high panic constantly 👍🏼)
I’m covering CAN and US Nats this year as the lead photog while my event media company covers 6 local events over the next two weeks and I’ve skipped right over “stressed” and into “disassociating” which is even less productive 🤪
If you need me for the next day and a half I’ll be staring at a wall!
Ah yes, membrane sweeps, everyone’s preferred self care option 🤣🤣🤣
I always put this up on NYE - just a beautiful vignette of Auld Lang Syne, it's meaning and why we we're here because we're here

The world would*****
It’s not a post from me if there isn’t a typo 🤣
Sometimes I open social media and my will to live literally disappears before my eyes after reading one post, so if I’m not on social a lot anymore it’s because I’m literally trying to avoid that feeling and I fear the would would be a happier place if we all stepped back from doom scrolling. Xoxo
The only presents I need 🤣
Dragged tbh
Guys I’m barely making it through 😷 but it’s Sunday in Sherbrooke which means I’m gonna be able to sleep in my own bed tonight (or at least early tmo morning).
Will I be making a new mortal enemy here in Grenoble (video rinkboards)? Stay tuned. The haze machine is already on my list of enemies and there’s room for at least one more thing on there 😇
OTOH, I will be side-eyeing the Canada Post execs with their massive salaries & judging the big couriers for raising prices to capitalize on the gap in the postal service, rending it unsustainable for me to ship letter mail with them.
Nothin gets me riled up more than injustice & corporate greed.
Am I incredibly frustrated by the Canada Post Strike? Yes, of course. I have customers waiting for products they paid their hard earned money for.
Will I get upset at striking postal workers? Absolutely not. No chance. I support them fully! People deserve fair working conditions and compensation!
Last weekend Halifax
This weekend Winnipeg
Next weekend Grenoble
Following week Sherbrooke
Final push to the end of my 2024 travel adventures 💪🏼😴
(I’m literally going to be so tired in Sherbrooke ima need all the energy and good vibes you can spare for me 🤣)
Concerning Hobbits from LOTR
A lot of the music from the 4th HP movie is very good too (jig from World Cup scene, Yule Ball waltz), even tho we DON’T support JK Rowling in this home 😤
I will be making these photos my entire personality for the next 5-7 business months. Thank u 🫡
