Because I get that it's a mystery with the AI that's out there now, but the primers make it seem like people then just shrug and build more mysteries and say "well, it continues to be impossible to know"

I've worded this appallingly, but I'm trying to #engage with the #discourse in good faith, and the primers I've read are all "it's often impossible to know what's actually going on in this black box", and my ignorant response is "yeah, so why wouldn't that be the first thing you prioritise?"

I like that the UK public holidays are called bank holidays because that was when the banks were allowed to have a little rest. I will be even happier when we institute Pip Holidays and everyone has to chill out and not need me for anything.
