As for the visit, It was for similar political reasons I expect. Took way too long to get that necessary level of episcopal courage from any of them. Remember Francis wrote directly to them-in English-in January 2025 begging them...pero no. Another whole year of disaster & then a spine.

People forget Francis never returned to Argentina yet visited Latin America. But then again they also like to forget Francis was very vocal about peace and immigrants with tr$mp admin and US Bishops.
