#thankful2026 Day 110/365:

I’m thankful that I could take the day to be with my family. Meant a plot to the kids as they grieve our pets passing.

Hoping for a brighter day tomorrow, but all the same, we are missing our little furry friends.

What a day.

Lost one of our pets to old age today. Came home from the vet & another one showed signs of distress. Kids were worried so, back to the vet. Sadly, his heart was failing (vet said it was likely a genetic defect). No hope in sight, so we couldn’t let him suffer. Lots of tears tonight.

I’m thankful for the time we have with our pets. Had to say goodbye to one of ours today. We’re all going to miss him.

The cage may be empty now, but I think his paw prints will be on our hearts forever.

I'm thankful that I could visit with a friend today. Our cavy is still not doing great. Gave the kids a few minutes of a break from worrying about him.

One of our pets isn’t doing well tonight. Truth is, he’s really old. Doesn’t change that the kids (and my wife and I for that matter) are feeling really sad. Hoping he’ll pull through.

Thankful I could be there for the fam tonight.

I’m thankful for a pleasent walk outside today.

I’m thankful that I didn’t get stuck on the bridge when there was an accident ahead of me. Sat for a bit, but still made it by without too much waiting.

I’m thankful that I could take care of some e-cycling that was piling up. Got it to a center so it can be properly disposed of.

I’m thankful that Spring break is over for the kids and we can get back to our normal schedule tomorrow.

I’m thankful for fun discoveries. Took the kids to a state park on Puget Sound today. Found a bunch of cool rocks while we were playing at the beach. Neatest find for me was a piece of petrified wood.

Really enjoying the book. Kinda want to see the movie now.

Working on borrowed time tonight. Power company is shutting off our lights for some repairs in the area. Expecting it in the next hour, so I guess its time to close down the computer and light the candles. Going old school tonight.
