Just shipped this preliminary drawing (and final oil version) off to the A.R. Mitchell Museum for the Character in Context Exhibition opening May 1. The show is an extensive survey of final paintings and the preliminaries.

Klaus worked on seminal titles from the 1980's ushering in a new era for comics. The opening was this past Thursday and I was a fanboy with Klaus graciously signing copies of books I had since I was a kid!

Great life drawing session at the Society of Illustrators, NY this past Wednesday. Sophia was a real pro, striking very dynamic poses for the whole evening.
I enjoy being not burdened with conceptual and compositional decision making, just concentrate on capturing information/gesture from the model.
