After almost twenty years on the platform, EFF is logging off of X.
This isn’t a decision we made lightly, but it might be overdue. 🧵 (1/5)

Never knew you bought a fair phone, I thought you always just thought about it
Weil ich den Namen nicht mag und meine Eltern hoffentlich auch nicht
Claude told me it wasn't so I checked the docs ☝️
If I was born in America I would be John
I didn't know Opencode is compatible with Claude Code skills 👀 opencode.ai/docs/skills

I've used vim and nvim during my bachelors and now I grew up and just use @zed.dev
I didn't even knew that app was a thing. Used Gemma 4 with Ollama on my Mac, and I'm really impressed so far.
Back home from the Easter feast with our family. I'm stuffed with Lagman, Manti, Plov and Baklava.
Since my wife started buying vegan deli meats I'm back in the sandwich game. They've gotten so much better over the last decade.

Thanks for sharing your advice!
Yeah, the comments are full of people who are outraged at cyclist but no word of support for building any infrastructure. I watched a lot of Japanese cycling content and it always seemed very relaxed, so I was surprised by those changes.
Beautiful day for a ride, but due to the Easter holidays my bike is still at the shop. Bummer.
Ah I see, so it's the same rules as in Germany where you have to have a brake. Thanks for the response!
@yaenridesagain.bsky.social I thought they were already banned. Your thoughts on this?
From the FT article: Other measures - such as bans on using headphones, cycling with one hand, using fixed-gear bikes with no brakes and carrying "unevenly loaded cargo" - are new, cyclist-specific offenses. Riding without a helmet, however, is not among the list of infractions.

... okay?
Gemma 4 E4B (4-bit) completed a full repo audit by executing Bash code and tool calls locally.
Runs on just 6GB RAM.
To address this, I've set up a local environment using Opencode and Gemma 4 E4B via Ollama. I've been testing it today for proofreading, transcribing recipes, etc. Despite my M1 Pro with 16GB RAM being outdated, it feels very promising.
The reason I opted for Obsidian Sync, besides the simplicity, is the End-to-End encryption. I would never upload my Vault to a cloud provider like Dropbox. Given my requirement for absolute privacy, sharing it with an external service like Claude feels like a significant regression.
Lately I've become more concerned about the amount of private data I share with cloud-based LLMs, particularly when interacting with my Obsidian Vault. My Vault contains all of my personal writing: journal, sensitive medical notes, technical documentation of my Homelab, etc.
I'm very much a post-nerd atproto maximalist myself and would like more people of any level of technical understanding to get involved and mobilize around a locked-open system that even tens of millions in venture funding hasn't corrupted yet.
