~”Unstained”~
Zhou Dunyi’s (宋·周敦颐) words from the Northern Song Dynasty (960–1127 CE) praised the lotus in his essay 《爱莲说》 (Ài Lián Shuō – “In Praise of the Lotus”), calling it:
“出淤泥而不染,濯清涟而不妖。”
“It emerges from the mud yet remains unstained, bathed in clear waters yet not seductive.”

Hi friend 🖤
Hi Naomi! Good to “see” some familiar faces here ♥️
Inspired by Frida Kahlo’s words: “At the end of the day, we can endure much more than we think we can.” and “I hope the exit is joyful, and I hope never to return.” The thorns represent the struggles and pain, but the butterflies remind me that even from pain, hope and joy can emerge. 🦋
One of my proudest creations
I’m thrilled to have a new way to connect and share! Hopefully I can figure this out soon.
