Grymphons, opinicus, hippogryph the whole lot

Any artists confident in doing gryphon badges. owo I'm wanting to get a new badge this year for an upcoming con and wanted to see. I probably can't pay for a week, but I wanted to fish. Even if it's just recommendations. <3

Phew!
Took me forever to find the power cord for it. It's fully charged, but I'm a bit afraid to turn it on yet. Gotta say some prayers and light a candle. Maybe brace myself for reading my oldest writing.
A shimmering circle of light surrounds the upraised arms of a woman who weaves light from the battlements of a castle. She wears an elegant dress of black and purple, and even in small detail it's obvious she's dripping in gold jewelry. Below an orange dragon with a yellow scaled belly blasts a stream of flame into the air. The gout isn't aimed at the armed men below who run in terror as their shield their eyes and bodies. A wall of white flames climbs the castle wall behind the dragon bathing the foreground in intense light. None of the flame consumes the surrounding bare trees or tents—evidence of a siege in progress but now broken.
Detail from STRONGHOLD featuring a Sunrunner weaving light from the top of castle battlements. Below an orange dragon cracks its maw to send a line of fire into the sky.

The magic in Melanie Rawn's Sunrunner trilogies involves weaving light, but just what is that faradhi on the battlements casting? There are clues to what's going on in the illustration. 1/2

A very tiny laptop, black and shiny. So shiny, in fact, you can see the author's reflection in the screen, or at least her chest and hands. Now that I'm typing out this alt text, I kinda wish I'd worn a bra. Oh wait, the pink phone covers anything questionable. Phew. Anyways, a tiny laptop and proof Valerie is a very real female human being and not a cat or a guy.
The first time I died, a high school friend sent me a Linux NetBook he'd gotten at a clearance sale for $20 so I'd be able to write and he'd hopefully be able to reach me in hospitals, as I didn't have a laptop.
I wrote some of my first books on this. Let's see if it still boots up...
🙀
I read that as "It is 1:28am and one of our neighbors is outside MEOWING in the dark" and was about to tell you to mind your own business...
"Three appointments in one day is a lot while recovering! Thankfully, my schedule is clear for the rest of the week. Wait, why is my schedule so clear. That's very suspicious. Did I forget to put an IVIG day in my phone calendar?"
(I did. Stitches seem to be holding, so should be fine.)
I hope it goes great! <3
🙀 is the emote I'm grateful for. I make this face all the time.
C'est vrais!

Like, chirp?
Is it Annie's? They usually require either 3 tibbles of milk with an optional butter, or they require 1/4 cup of milk with non-optional butter, depending on the flavor.

Gryphons?
One of the most famous mosasaurs, Tylosaurus proriger, submerges after taking a breath. It is dark above and light below, as tentatively suggested by some palaeocolour data. The challenges of interpreting scaly reptile palaeocolour, and the tiny scraps of colour data we have for this animal, preclude much confidence in chromatic interpretations of this species, however. Also, if you stare at this long enough, you'll see a few sharks. No foolin'.
Been thinking marine-reptiley thoughts today. Here's one of my latest #paleoart efforts along that line: Tylosaurus proriger. The colour is based on fossil colour data, although it's far from certain that this animal was black and countershaded.

Same =( But I miss driving 36 hours on a long weekend with friends to get into trouble (look at interesting critters and plants).
Aaaaaaaw, that looks like a lot of fun!
A mini illustration of a spectral folkloric dog 'black shuck'. The dog is padding down a hillside in a graveyard, it's breath fogging in the air as rain falls.
A large bat inspired character perched on a flaming branch. Fire and ash flows upwards from the characters mane, antlers and tail. It brings rebirth in the rain
A side profile of a purple, pink and white griffin with blood on it's beak. It's mouth is ajar and a glowing eye pierces the viewer.
A coloured sketch of a colourful griffin standing on their hind legs. Wings spread out behind them as they stand ready to face whatever's coming. Their pelt and fur are a range of hues from white, pinks, purples and peach.
I'm looking for more work this month!
You can find the different options and prices here. Happy to discuss ideas/concepts you have :) 🐺

Oh my gosh, I look away for five seconds and miss a gryphon from you!
Gotta make up for lost time and reskeet it everywhere.
Coloured sketch for Tay! birb :)
Aaaaaaw, she's so cute =)
A girl with silver and brown hair has a huge bandage on her back up near the shoulder.
Speaking as someone with stitches on her back right now, I can feel my character developing every time I go "ow."
(Flagged sensitive, but it's just a huge clean bandage.)
A penstemon about shin height with blue purple flowers and thin silver green leaves.
Pretending I'm not doing (light) yard work with my shoulder bandaged while talking to Glenn on his commute home even as he pulls into the driveway and I take him to see the first penstemon blossoms of the year.

Good news: shoulder is still healing well.
Bad news: I'm not allowed to weed the yard and bindweed is coming up.
The covers of the first ten Gryphon Insurrection novels by K. Vale Nagle, starting with Eyrie and ending with Saberbeak, portraying a wide range of interesting gryphons in interesting places from hawks to kakapo to snowy owls to diving petrels to starlings to hooded pitohui to sand cat hoopoe birds to white-tailed kites in golden armor to saber-toothed tiger gryphons. The first ten covers are in an illustrated style, but the last book, Blue Eyes, is a short story collection in a very stylized art that has a snow leopard in the snowy mountains.
I turned on the TV and YouTube offered up a video by a popular author where he was interviewed by AI and its existence made me sad, so if you've ever had any questions for me, Ask Me Anything here and I'll try to reply to everyone until I'm back writing full time again. #AMA #GryphIns
