I’m so thankful for my friends. I had a really bad health scare earlier this week, I collapsed at a restaurant and was rushed to the ER. It made me really reflect how fleeting everything is.

I’m tired……does the world have a pause button?

Sometime I wonder if I could rewind the clock. Feel as I have gotten older problems have gotten more complex, wish I could rewind to my early twenties and have some of that simpler world back.

That and was changing your diapers when you were a kid. Just focuses the conversation on entirely how she feels embarrassed. It’s like can it not be about you for 2 seconds. Then proceeds to say the reason why it’s so bad is they are grieving, it’s like no shit we’re all going through that.

She always had this attitude of trying to measure everything, how often you visit, how often you do x and then keeps a scorecard. What needs up happening is she believes she always has a perfect score. “You haven changed in 32 years -her” - kinda hard to believe that when you were not born yet.

Tried apologizing to my sister, big mistake! Like always she turns everything into measuring contest and prides herself on being a pot stirrer. She acknowledged the problem got worse but threw justification on top of justification and then swore up and down the house didn’t smell.

To have your partner visit and every time have to be exposed to rooms reeking of urine and stained and damaged floors from it. Then to have your siblings cast it off as “go stay in a hotel, all dogs do this” they won’t even try to attempt to change the behavior nor even recognize it as a problem.

It’s not normal for a dog to view the house and any guest and their belongings as its own personal toilet. To the point where they have accepted this as normal and reward the dog through treats to distract it while they clean up the mess. I was just in rage cause how embarrassing is it

Tired of arguing with my family about their dog. Every time I visit even for a day I either get pissed on or the dog pisses in the room I sleep in. I got extremely angry this time and got the usually “it’s normal, the dog does that” . I know plenty of pet owners, no it’s not normal.

The tech job market is downright insane, I’ve always been a code sleuth, but I’m not leetcode guru, Its infuriating to face rejection from interviewers saying “well that’s not what the problem set said was correct” If the interviewer can’t speak to the problem, isn’t that a problem itself?

It was something my aunt made for me, I cried when I opened it. It looks to be made from UV printer.

I have already decided on a New Year’s resolution. I want to be better, nothing is ever stagnant, change is never easy but I think everyone can relate to the statement “charge is hard”. Sadly I think this might involve leaving a career I love but I don’t think I can love doing it anymore :/

I have experienced true dystopia! Just had a AI software engineering interview, yes that’s right the recruiter is a chatbot on teams. I can’t help but recoil of the horrors of what amounts to a new concept “dead interview theory”. Soon we have chatbots interview each other!
