Do you know the work of Morag Paterson and Ted Leeming? I love their abstract/impressionistic photography. They're on Instagram @leemingpaterson.

A fictional illustration: The Monumental Arch Palmyra, Syria with high mountains behind it and a sunset made out of a Central Asia tile design with a hoopoe flying next to it. Two heavily laden bicycles with red panniers are cycling through the arch.

Irish English? I ask as an Irish person. I don't remember many dialogue words in it. Just curious!

Happy International Beaver Day! 🦫 Beavers are more than just adorable faces; they’re true eco-engineers! In the wild, beavers build dams and lodges and help create wetlands that support hundreds of other species and improve water quality.

St Cyrus Beach in Aberdeenshire. The sun fought the haar but the haar won! Still a great day out with a bacon roll at Johnshaven to set us up for our beach walk.

Opposite the port of Montrose in Ferryden (Angus), there are washing lines adjacent to old fishing cottages stretching out over the South Esk Estuary. Is there anywhere else in the UK with such an unusual wash-day setup?
