…because of my mortgage background, lately I’ve been applying to customer success roles as a way in while I continue to work on my in person community and hopefully figure out how to monetize it in the future to help more people not only in Denver but everywhere.

…being new to the field, my resume keeps getting rejected even tho I have experience starting my own in person tech community for underrepresented folks here in Denver Colorado, it hasn’t really helped me “stand out” as much as I thought it would. So…

Even though I’ve completed 2 bootcamps, I still haven’t felt confident enough in my technical skills to pursue a software engineering position, and my skills lend more toward community management HOWEVER

Breaking into tech, especially from another industry, is not easy. If you’re having a hard time finding a job, you’re definitely not alone. After being laid off a year ago this month, I have changed my “tech focus” a few times.
