This is an interesting thread, but I’m not sure if it was state vs personal. In Chicago, a man was pulled out of his car for not complying fast enough. ICE pulled him out of his car and broke six ribs. His running club told them to stop bc he was old. (ICE didn’t ofc)

Parents fighting admin/Sped directors for supports is not uncommon. Social support for our kids can be low in our schools and other places (healthcare, schools, community, church).

One of the admins in a local school district got blasted by local media for her budget decisions. In her response, she wrote that she had to spend, $500,000 to educate six special ed students.

I feel like the church should have an uneasy relationship with the police (in the US). Spiritually supportive of individual cops, harsh and condemning of police corruption. Generous with spiritual directors and chaplains to cops. No more bishops riding in police parades.
