On the way back from Oxfordshire having spent the day in Kidlington with 18 local people and their candidate Local Area Coordinators. Community member involvement in LAC recruitment is key. Great to have so many younger people involved today esp (as well as nice lunch and chatting 😁)

Then off to Camden where tomorrow we will film some people talking about Family and Group Conferencing (for adults). Short videos for both released in the NY πŸ˜πŸ‘πŸ˜πŸ‘

that is a joy to hear! LAC didn't survive the test of time there (cuts) but many of the workers carry on the good work in other parts of the system

Absolutely! I love that expression Scott - we speak so much in Local Area Coordination about walking alongside people, families and communities. Fundamentally an asset based approach!

At our Local Area Coordination Network gathering online today. 70 members currently in conversation about being "connected, but seperate" from formal services. Reflecting on the positioning of the approach - one foot in community, one in the "system". Bridging the gap!
