Most technology released today is a solution in search of a problem. With the enshittification of Claude already beginning, we're probably not far off from the only useful chatbots being enterprise exclusive. If people's lives are improved by tech in the 21st century, it's a coincidence.

One important distinction here is that washing clothes is an activity we've done for generations, but aside from doing things on a computer slightly faster, but not reliably enough to really trust without doing the work yourself, your grandparents would not benefit from any automation software.
